Charlotte, NC to Buford, GA

Day 2:

Today was a pretty easy day of driving for Kurt & I. We left Charlotte, NC around 9:30 this morning and our first stop was to the Waffle House right across the street from our hotel. I ordered a yummy waffle and a side of hash browns and Kurt ordered the Texas toast bacon, egg, and cheese. After finishing our breakfast Kurt & I decided to try to get back on I-85N and try to find Downtown Charlotte so we could take some pictures and videos of the Carolina Panthers stadium. Unfortunately it was too foggy in Charlotte to find downtown so we could not take the pictures we wanted to. Brooklyn has slept the entire way.

Finally around 10:30am we were on our way to Buford, Georgia to see Taylor, Josh, and the kids. Right after we got into South Carolina, Kurt and I stopped at the Kings Mountain National Park/Military Park ((or something like that)). We got to take some cute pictures of each other and the puppies. Then we were back on the road. After a quarter dozen stops we finally crossed into Georgia and I realized that I still needed to get my eyebrows waxed. So, we stopped at Subway to get some lunch and tried to find a place on the way to Taylor's where is could get my eyebrows waxed. We found a place in Commerce, GA called Queen Nails & Tanning. They waxed my eyebrows for me and it was only $6.00. I couldn't believe it!! After we got back on I-85S we were only a half an hour away from Taylor's and the time could not of gone slower! Finally we reached exit 115 on I-85. When we got off the exit we saw the Mall of Georgia... and boy it is BIG! After getting stuck in some traffic and rain we finally made it to Taylor's house. Her house is so beautiful, inside and outside. They have christmas lights outside and an inflatation snowman. Then we you come inside it is indescribable. The house is emaculate. They have done such an awesome job decorating and making it their own home. Tristyn and Jackson were also up and running around when we got there. Both of them are the two cutest kids ever. They have gotten so big since the last time I saw them ((1 1/2 ag0)). After settling in and relaxing, Taylor made us an awesome homecooked meal. We had barbeque chicken, baked potatoes, salad, and Texas toast. It was such a treat to have a homecooked meal after being on the road all day. After dinner all of us relaxing and watched some television and caught up things. The kids went to bed around 9ish. Then Josh came home from a long day of work a little bit later. After Josh finished his dinner, Kurt and him played Call of Duty 5 and Taylor & I played on our computers and her new iPhone.

Today was such a wonderful day and it was a treat to get to see Taylor, Josh, and the kids. I wish I would of came down here sooner. I am going to miss them so much! I hate that I only get to see them once a year (well that's if I'm lucky). Hopefully, Taylor will get to come out to Washington and have a girls' weekend with me sometime next year.

Taylor & Josh.. if you are reading this. Thank you again for opening your home to Kurt & I. We loved seeing you both (& the kids). You two are amazing people and we love you very much.

Well it is almost one o'clock and Kurt and I are planning to start the drive to Alabama around 10:00am tomorrow morning so I better get some sleep.

Dad, Mom, Richard... if you are reading this.. I miss you.. and love you.
