In Houston

Day 5: (in Texas)

Friday morning, Kurt and I woke up around 7:30am. We just lounged around the house until it was time to leave to take Luke some lunch. Around 11:00am, Kurt and I headed to the Verizon store to try to get my cell phone fixed since it keeps freezing up on me and dropping some calls. When we got to Verizon, Carlos (the gentleman who helped us), told us that my phone's software had the version 5 software and then he told me the phone was one the version 11 software now. So we left my phone at Verizon so thet could hopefully fix it. After leaving Verizon we went to Panda Express and picked up some lunch for Luke and ourselves and then headed to Luke's school to have lunch with him. After meeting some of Luke's friends and seeing his longtime friend Sarah(hope I spelled it right) we went back to Verizon to pick up my phone. So far the problems seen to be fixed.. Thank You Verizon :) Since Target was in the same shopping center as Verizon we figured we would swing in there just to look around. Forty three dollars later was walked out with a brown zip up fleece jacket and fleece football pj pants for me (since it's cold in Washington) and a new pair of pants for Kurt.. Then we headed back to the house. When we got to the house, Mr. Donnie & Mrs. Lanita were heading out to go pick up Luke from school and then head to the airport to pick up Eric. Around 5pm, they got home from the airport and then we went to dinner at Papaseatas (Do not know if that is the correct way to spell it) Mexican restaurant. After an AMAZING dinner (Thank You Mr. Donnie & Mrs. Lanita), I got to go on my first trip into a store called Specs, which the alcohol store in Houston. Sort of like VABC in Virginia, but Specs does not only serve hard liquor but it also serves wine and beer too. It was a pretty cool store to visit. After getting home and settling in, Mr. Donnie, Mrs. Lanita, Eric, and Luke gave me a graduation present. When I opened the Congratulations card there was a gift card instead and a note from all of them. The note said, "what a great job you've done in school, now you're off to the northwest as a duo, here's a little something if you get homesick, pack your bags; it's a round trip ticket". So whenever I want to I can fly home to Virginia :) That was so sweet of them to give that to me. Around 10pm, Luke left and went to a lock-in for his Boy Scouts group. Shortly after he left, Kurt and I hit the sack because we were exhausted.
