Last Day in Houston

Well it is Saturday and it is our last day in Houston before we start the second half of our trip to Washington. This morning we woke up pretty early because Grannie (Kurt's grandmother) and PauPau (Kurt's grandfather) came into town from Grapeland, TX (which is about 130 miles away from Kurt's house in Houston). It was so nice to see them since it had been a year and a few months since Kurt & I saw them last. After everyone woke up & showered, Mr. Donnie made biscuits-n-gravy and bacon for breakfast. I know it was a treat for Kurt to have all of us together for breakfast (and later in the day dinner too). After finishing breakfast and cleaning up, Kurt and Mr. Donnie went to Walmart and picked up some stuff for dinner and some oil for Kurt and I's vehicles. When they got back Kurt changed my oil, Mr. Donnie put some stuff on my doors to make them not squeak anymore, and Eric vacuumed out my car. What a treat!!!! While they were doing all that.. I was wrapping Luke's Christmas present from the three of us... which was a 32'' LCD television. A little while later it was time for 'Christmas dinner'. After dinner was finished it was time to open presents. Kurt & I opened our presents from Grannie and Pau Pau since they had to get back on the road.. Grannie got Kurt and I both gift cards and she got me a beautiful jade necklace. Pau gave Kurt and I a card and a gift to put into our savings account. Then we said our thank yous and goodbye to Grannie and Pau Pau. After the left, we continued to open our presents. Mrs. Lanita got a new remote for the television, a Brighton necklace, and a new Nikon d60 camera. Mr. Donnie got the Planet Earth DVD collection, cologne, an antique Exxon belt button, an ornament, and a back massager. Eric got a clipboard with the Longhorn etched into it (made by & from Luke) an ornament, and some stuff for his new house in Tennessee. Luke got six Xbox 360 games, a Texas Tech t-shirt, an OP shirt, and his new TV. Kurt got 2 knives, a Thompson Center rifle, hunting supplies, a hat, an ornament, binoculars and some stuff for our move (cat litter, ice scraper, tow straps, and an umbrella). I got a bracelet, earrings, gift cards, a picture of Kurt & I at our reception, Bath & Body Works (Thank you Luke!), an ornament, and a gift to put into our savings account.

Although this is my first Christmas away from home... I am grateful that I got to spend a Christmas with my family & the Weisinger family early. I could not of imagined this Christmas going any better then it did this year. Kurt and I want to say Thank You to both of our families for everything they have done for us and continue to do. We love all of you very much!

Tomorrow we are leaving Houston and heading towards Sonora, Texas.. (We are no longer going to Abilene, TX because of the bad weather that is headed this way). On our way to Sonora, TX, we are planning on stopping in San Antonio, TX to see the Alamo and some other places...

I am continuing to upload videos and pictures.. Sorry I am so behind.

Well Kurt and I are going to head to bed with our babies :) I will write again tomorrow..

  1. Wow, you guys racked up! Is Kurt planning on hunting much is WA? I know there's so big game up in the North West! You'll have to take a picture of the jade necklace, I want to see!

And just to let you know - the way you have the comments set up on here makes it really difficult for someone to leave a comment. The "captcha" word verification never comes up correctly so it take a really long time to actually post the comment!
